  • I don’t understand.

  • Dope Show

I was just complaining to someone the other day how most of the hip hop podcasts have become the new Wendy Williams and not so much about the music, the business of music and the artists journey and process. I appreciate the content. Can’t wait to hear the full Buckwild episode.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Lil’ Flip
Q: Why do you think Houston gets varying levels of respect in the hip hop landscape?
Sometimes we do, and sometimes we don't. It depends on how people perceive Southern artists, often associating them with a lack of lyricism, despite their musicality being strong.
Lil’ Flip
Q: How did you figure out the formula for making money after a certain age outside of music?
I started out doing music for God, for the church... I don't let money control all my moves. I think like a hustler, and I believe in customer appreciation and treating every interaction with care.
Ms.Fit
Q: What did you learn from taking a break from battle rap and podcasting?
She learned more about herself, her boundaries, and how to value the relationships in her life more deeply now that she reflects on life's shortness.
Ms.Fit
Q: Why don't you do podcasting and stuff as much as you used to?
Ms. Fit explains that she took a step back for family reasons and to appreciate her loved ones more as she experienced loss around her.
Jerry Wonda
Q: If you could change anything about the music business, what would that be?
Get artists to really believe in themselves, to stop copying everybody else, and to remember what made them successful.
