Bad Lit Friends is a writing podcast that barely knows what it's doing. And that’s the point. Hosted by fiction writers Meagan Thompson-Mann and Kirk Rafferty, this show is equal parts craft discussion, existential despair, ego massage, and wildly unsolicited hot takes. Each episode blends honest conversations about the creative process, the publishing industry, and the messiness of trying to crea... more

I love listening to Meagan and Kirk and all their fabulous writing advice. Please keep it up and I can’t wait to read your novels. 😀
I’ve really been enjoying Meagan and Kirk’s podcast! Even though I don’t know the first thing about writing or querying, I’ve loved learning through their journey. The episodes are easy to listen to, entertaining, and full of great storytelling. Meagan shines as a storyteller, and I can’t wait to see her novel published soon!
If you’re a writer who wants to feel like you’re in one of Dorothy Parker’s salons circa today, this is a great show to put on. Meagan and Kirk are thoughtful hosts with easy chemistry. Writing can be a lonely profession, so it’s nice to have a podcast like this one to remember you’re part of a larger community of creative people.
