Before we even hit record, he told me he had a strong feeling this interview shouldn’t happen.

Super under-rated podcast about the folk-punk subculture from a man who has been a part of it right from the start, this podcast is so much more however, it often looks at spirituality, life, philosophy, addiction, politics and much much more, this is a welcoming podcast that is worked very hard on by Pepe who is also a great dude all round, Thanks for making this podcast Pepe! I’ve loved Pat for
The first time I heard him sing the first song. Pepe having a real conversation about everything and his role in me finding Pat’s music is priceless, I’m not a podcast person, but this one is shockingly listenable and sincere. I’m a fan.
I’ve been a DIY Bandits fan for 10 years and a Pat the Bunny fan for even longer. When I saw Pepe was going to give us this interview, I hit play immediately. I’m very excited to keep on listening and love to support the smaller podcasts that actually have a good audio mix.
Life-changing, if you let it be.
Way more interesting than the typical music podcast. Calling it a music podcast is selling it short. Original and honest feel. Folk punk and prison is a surprising theme of the show. Looking forward to more of this.

A tightly knit, culture-forward show centered on folk punk, DIY music, and personal storytelling. Episodes mix intimate artist interviews with broader discussions about community, addiction/recovery, spirituality, and social issues, often weaving in histories of punk, prison, and mutual aid. The host brings a reflective, empathetic tone and nudges guests to share personal narratives and practical insights, making it a valued space for listeners seeking authenticity, community-minded perspectives, and behind-the-scenes looks at DIY scenes. A standout aspect is the blend of music-focused conversations with candid explorations of recovery, incarceration, and empowerment, plus a recurring emphasis on staying free and supporting artists outside ... more
