  • Good show with engaging host

I’ve enjoyed this for a long time. As of late though, when I play it on my Apple Podcasts on my iPhone, there’s no audio. I thought it was an error with episode but it’s been an issue consistently for a few months now. My other podcasts play fine.

  • Needs to zoom in on desktops

Because it’s short, subscribers are more likely to watch on mobile device. That makes seeing small type in consoles difficult. Use a tool like Camtasia to zoom in on what’s being demonstrated.

  • Video please

If we can view video in the podcast app, it would be great. AZure Friday show always has video but not no video on channel 9

Migrate Oracle Workloads to PostgreSQL Using AI-Powered Tools in the VS Code PostgreSQL Extension
Q: How long does the migration take for a mid-sized schema?
For a mid-sized schema around 2,000 objects, the process runs in hours rather than days, balancing slower AI-based steps with higher quality and context-aware migrations.
Migrate Oracle Workloads to PostgreSQL Using AI-Powered Tools in the VS Code PostgreSQL Extension
Q: Okay, and how big was this out of curiosity?
The tested schema in the live demo was 37 objects, a relatively small example to illustrate the end-to-end flow, with the process showing chunked extraction, testing against the target Postgres, and a final report.
Migrate Oracle Workloads to Oracle AI Database@Azure
Q: What makes Oracle Database at Azure different from other hybrid cloud approaches?
It's truly first‑of‑its‑kind in Azure, with direct proximity of Oracle Exadata hardware inside Azure data centers, a jointly developed portal experience, and native Azure monitoring, making the hybrid setup feel like a single, first‑party database experience.
No code .NET modernization with Managed Instance on Azure App Service
Q: All right. Blow me away. Sell me on Managed Instance, because this sounds like exactly what I need.
Managed Instance on App Service preserves the existing app behavior while giving you cloud-native benefits such as slots, auto-scaling, higher security with managed identity, and seamless integration with Key Vault, making it possible to move off legacy hosting without rewriting the application.
Deploying Python apps on Azure App Service
Q: Would an empty requirements.txt be enough as a marker to pick up the runtime and use AZ Web App up?
Yes, that approach could work, but in practice you explicitly set the Python version to avoid surprises; App Service will manage minor updates and you control major version bumps to prevent breaking changes.
