Autism Communication Toolkit

Cherie and Alicia

Cherie and Alicia are two highly trained Speech-Language Pathologists who developed their parent coaching program after years of watching too many professionals skip over the pre-language skills that are essential prior to a child talking. They knew they had to get this information into parents’ hands and this podcast is an extension of this work. If you're ready to take charge of your toddler's c... more

  • Game Changer!

We have been working with Cherie & Alicia for 6 months, our 2 year old is autistic. We love their philosophy, it’s so intuitive relative to traditional prompt based approaches, and we think it can create real change. They have coached us, as parents, to create opportunities to help our daughter understand the purpose and joy of communication. We have seen amazing progress.

  • Helpful reframe for parents

This has been so helpful in allowing me to reframe my perspective working with my speech-delayed twin toddlers with ASD. I had been putting so much pressure on myself that I’m sure they were feeling it too. Just days after starting the advice here about “igniting their social driver” I am already seeing positive changes- and I feel more relaxed and am enjoying them more too.

  • Great information!!

My son was diagnosed with autism this past summer, we had been working with SLP for almost a year before the diagnosis and still continue with this service. As a parent, I had no idea what my role was or how I can help my kiddo at home... this episode alone has helped me more than any of my child's providers! thank you for putting this information out there, I finally feel like I have some place to start!!

  • Hands-on approach for parents

After my child was diagnosed with autism I was endlessly researching ways to help him learn to communicate. After working with speech, OT and ABA therapists I knew there had to be more I could do myself. I’m so grateful I came across Cherie and Alicia’s Program and learned actionable skills that I can use everyday to help my child find his voice. This podcast is a must for any parent feeling stuck and wanting to do more to help their child.

  • The best!

When I realized something was off, I decided to get trained by Alicia and Cherie through their program. I am so glad that they created this podcast to further their reach to more moms! I used to be sad and hopeless until I found their program. I didn’t have access to services nor a diagnosis so all I had was the training.

My child is starting to try to speak more now, but if it wasn’t for the foundation I built by learning from Alicia and Cherie she would NOT be where she is today!!
