  • Boring.

Sorry but Tony is not a patch on the previous incumbent. It’s a pouring show with few guests that are also dull. Nothing funny or quirky; the best callers have deserted this show. And if you call up Tony talks down to anyone right of centre. I’ve had to move over to the other mob!

Hi there new listener here. Why are your sound levels so low? It wasn’t like this when Simon was filling in. Wonder if you can fix it? Thanks, enjoying the chat 😊

Geoff Hutchison with Tony McManus - Mon 17 Nov, 2025
Q: What prompted this one for you, Geoff?
I finished up at the ABC at the end of 2022... about whether as we get older, we are happy or we are satisfied with what our life has been like.
Geoff Hutchison with Tony McManus - Mon 17 Nov, 2025
Q: What did you learn from your read?
I learned that it is very easy to slip into being a grumpy old bugger when you just get a bit negative about everything and let things go in life and do all of that.
Rick Milne - Antiques & Collectables - Wed 12 Nov, 2025
Q: Would you put that out, or would I put that on to like Sotheby's or something like that?
Milne suggests calling him for expert recommendations on selling a signed Sgt. Pepper's album.
Question of the Day with Jimmy Szabo - Wed 12 Nov, 2025
Q: Is it too early that I've put up the Christmas tree on the weekends?
No, you can't. I'm happy for that. People say, should be early December—no, but I think you can.
Question of the Day with Jimmy Szabo - Wed 12 Nov, 2025
Q: So, when is the last time you had a dinner party? Either hosted it or went to one, because apparently it's dead?
People don't do it anymore, but I think it's great. I remember when we used to do dinner parties.
