I love this podcast! It is refreshing to hear new takes and perspectives on Music Learning Theory as it happens in the “wild”.
Eric and Beau have very thought provoking conversations and interview interesting guests as they work to untangle the ways people learn music.
I have so many “Aha!” moments as I listen, and I always come away with something new to try in my own practice or with my students.
I’m not an MLT practitioner but I’ve been taking some courses and adding in my own reading. I’ve been learning so much from having this new flavour and perspective on teaching. Very relatable music teacher stories too. And Dr Eric’s book is a real gem.
All musicians and music teachers can benefit from learning through the tenets of Gordon’s Music Learning Theory. Each episode essentially provides an entire masterclasses with expert pedagogues that are incredibly thought provoking and valuable.
I love this podcast! Eric’s Harmonic Learning Sequence is genius!
I am so incredibly happy that you started this podcast, and wanted to thank you both for having these conversations. I especially appreciate your willingness to speak honestly about things you think work and things that don’t.
Please keep it up! This is a wonderful resource to veterans of MLT and newcomers alike.
