  • Have to agree

While I fully support everything Chani stands for politically, I find this to not be a very good podcast to learn about astrology anymore.

I appreciate Chani using her platform to speak truth, and weaving that in with astrology.. which in these times both of those things are so important! Keep speaking up Chani, thank you!

  • Awesome AI rant!!

Thank you so much for sounding off on AI. It astounds me that so many people are willing to get on board with a technology that is top to bottom detrimental. The environmental impact alone is staggering. Municipalities are making decisions to locate data centers in their towns and cities without approval from voters. I for one don’t want to live in that dystopia. AI is just another toy. In the words of moms throughout history: ‘go outside and play!’

  • A Great place to start

If you are intrigued by astrology, but honestly just don’t know where to start. This is a very good place. I learned to read the astrology weather by listening to her weekly report reports on this app and then by seeing the effects in my own life.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Week of June 1st, 2026: Manifesting magic with Mercury and Saturn
Q: Hi Chani, what does it mean if you don't have any planets in opposing signs or in opposing houses?
If there are no direct oppositions, it means there isn't a built-in opposing force in that chart, but oppositions are just one way to balance energies; other configurations like squares or t-squares can provide their own tensions and balance, so one should look at the entire chart to understand how balance is achieved.
The Week of May 25th, 2026: Mars, Pluto, and a freeing Full Moon
Q: Dear Chani, what kind of astrology should we be looking out for, for a lottery ticket winning type of luck in our chart or in our collective experience?
Top-level, I consistently emphasize that luck is most likely when Venus and Jupiter are in harmonious relationship—conjunctions, trines, or sextiles—especially when they're in favorable signs like Venus in Libra, Taurus, or Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer, Pisces, or Cancer-appropriate alignments. In such configurations the Moon's involvement can heighten luck, and timing matters: catch these windows when they align with supportive lunar conditions.
The Week of May 18th, 2026: A once-in-a-generation Uranus cazimi
Q: Hi Chani, you are probably so over answering questions about cusps. But my question is, if we do not consider cusps, why do we consider shadow periods? And exactly what is a shadow period?
Cusps are not relied on in this framework; astronomical degrees and planetary motions are the focus. Shadow periods occur when a planet stations retrograde and then moves back over degrees it has already traversed, representing a stretch of road that the planet revisits before finally moving forward again. This is different from simply the planet moving into a new sign.
The Week of May 11th, 2026: Practical magic and a Taurus New Moon
Q: So people who don't have stelliums in their chart, what does that mean for them?
Even without stelliums, the sky still moves through important angular points and social focal points; look at rulers of the ascendant, Sun, and Moon and how they communicate with other planets to identify the key areas in a chart.
The Week of May 4th, 2026: A confidence boost, courtesy of Mars
Q: Hi, Chani. My husband has Libra rising and I have Taurus rising. So the planet that steers our lives is Venus. How do you think about that when the charts are so different, but the planet ruling the chart is the same?
Venus rules both Libra and Taurus by sign, so relationships to beauty, pleasure, and harmony play a central role in both charts, but each sign expresses it differently: Libra seeks balance and fairness in relationships, while Taurus values steady enjoyment and material comfort; understanding both can help navigate differences.
