This point on taking Spiritual Science at it’s claim and testing it against reason and experience is of course not at all similar to blind faith and guru subjugation but it does require a strong trust.
Your framing of Steiner in a light of arrogance is itself supreme arrogance when you presume to be competent to judge his comments as out of date or self interested. This is to be expected from an atheistic critical analysis but it is unacceptable from an esoteric contemplation.
