Americans in Germany Drinking Whiskey

Americans in Germany Drinking Whiskey

We are Geoff and Alex - two Americans living abroad in Berlin, Germany. During this series we discuss our years of experience living in Europe as expats, give advice to those who are hoping to make the move abroad and share plenty of funny stories about life in the ”land of beer and sausage.” Along the way, we test a new bottle of whiskey during each episode, because...why not?

  • Good but like it's, like, you know, like too much, bad grammar

I like the podcast. I've been to Berlin and find it interesting to hear their take on the city and life in Germany. There are a couple of annoyances that have to do with their speech patterns and grammar. The work "like" is part of almost EVERY sentence. Stop with the filler words. If they had a dime for every time they said "like," they would be able to pay for the podcast without taking donations. more

  • Two cool guys giving helpful advice

Just finally finished the full binge and caught up to the weekly releases. Geoff and Alex give some good advice and I feel like I know them as close personal friends. I’m sad I don’t have a fresh episode everyday anymore, but am happy I can participate in all their online opportunities to participate in their episodes. If you’re planning on becoming an expat or are a new expat in Germany, definitely listen to these guys. They have good conversations and good tips to help you along your journey. ... more
