Always Player One is a Podcast about solo board games and what we think makes them interesting. This is not another podcast of reviews, we want to make each episode the start or continuation of a conversation with you, the listener. We aim to release every two weeks and in every new episode we take a topic, couple it with a game and discuss both. At the end of the show we throw out some questions ... more

Title says it all really. If you are interested in solo board gaming this is the podcast for you.
This is a show about two newbies to solo tabletop gaming exploring various titles and gaming concepts. Very enjoyable to listen to and follow their progress. It’s a growing niche and I can’t think of two better hosts in this genre. The tone they set in the show is very open minded and polite.
I have listened to Always Player One from the start and have enjoyed every episode. Scruffy and Norm have great chemistry and passion for the hobby in a way that is infectious. One of my favourite podcasts.
Norm and Scruffy are open-minded gamers with a relatable friendship. I’ve enjoyed listening to their show these months, and based on their excitement I’ve even just downloaded the materials for my first ever solo rpg experience. Thanks for the content! You get me through 13 hour weekly commute (with the help of some other podcasters, of course). I guess this became a DM instead of a review. Best wishes in all things. -Elliott
The personalities and passion from both hosts really shines through in each episode. We’re lucky to have a podcast this good in the space.
