Bei einem brutalen Angriff auf das Königreich Benin plündern britische Kolonialtruppen 1897 den Palast und erbeuten tausende Kunstschätze. Sie sind heute in der ganzen Welt verteilt, viele davon in deutschen Museen.

Ich bin durch Zufall auf diese Reihe gestoßen und war so begeistert, dass ich alle Folgen hintereinander „weggehört“ habe.
Helen Fares erzählt eindrucksvoll über Raubkunst, die jeweiligen Gegenstände und ihre Geschichte. Dabei lässt sie viele unterschiedliche Gesprächspartner:innen aus Wissenschaft, den Museen und Aktivist:innen zu Wort kommen und deren jeweilige Standpunkte ausführen.
