  • Politely… stop saying politely

Good content with a different perspective. Useful pre season insights. Dial back (eliminate) the use of the word ‘politely’; completely unnecessary. I had to stop listening to a few episodes for the overuse.

Massive thanks to MJ and Minimonk for the strategy sessions (as well as all the other content they produce) played a big part in winning 2025 AFL DreamTeam overall major prize. Cheers lads

  • MJ talks under water!

MJ creates a compelling narrative of players that just unfolds in front of us as he discusses the pros and cons of players, team structures and where they fit in the landscape. Really enjoyed all your PODS this year, still a few top 50’s to listen to but it’s a resource that won’t get old! Thanks for your efforts 5star!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#10 Most Relevant | Errol Gulden
Q: What are you looking for if he goes and gets this sort of 90s range? So below what he's priced at across the formats, what would you be happy to still go, he does this in that opening round?
If he's hitting 90% plus time on ground, it's 113 in Fantasy and 111 in SC.
#10 Most Relevant | Errol Gulden
Q: How do you think a player like Errol might actually go in an AFL designed system that is hoping to create greater, sharper, faster ball movement and less stoppage?
It is absolutely perfect because if we cast our mind back to the last game plan ball movement, speed up rule changes came with the Stanroll in 2021.
#8 Most Relevant | Jordan Dawson
Q: What do you see happening with Dawson's scoring this season?
Dawson could average between 112 to 115 if the Crows improve their ball movement and allow for more transition-based scoring.
#8 Most Relevant | Jordan Dawson
Q: Can you build the case for me about where someone would go, I'm going to start Dawson, and here's my justification? What do you think some of those reasons are?
Dawson's no early buy makes him a valuable pick, allowing you to keep a premium player without missing out on early matchups.
#13 Most Relevant | Jye Caldwell
Q: Would you be surprised if Caldwell top scored of the three of them this year?
It's expected that Jye Caldwell, due to his all-around game and lack of attention from opposing teams, has the highest potential to score among the three.
