A podcast series discussing the everyday struggles of Muslims with same-sex attractions (SSA) who want to live a life true to Allah and Islam. I am Waheed Jensen, and I have SSA. In today’s world, it seems the overwhelming narrative out there is “love is love” and “embrace your sexual identity”. There are many of us who find that to be incompatible with the life we want to live, which is a God-con... more

I love this podcast with all my heart. I started listening to it out of curiosity, mostly about how the LGBTQ movement should be looked at from an Islamic lens, but it’s honestly a spiritual boost from all angles. The topics of shame, self-love, arrogance, and pride are very applicable not just to people experiencing same-sex attractions, but also to a Muslim as a whole. Amazing podcast. I think everyone should listen to it, if not for the first hand perspective of someone going through one of t... more
Salam. Thank you Waheed for this wonderful podcast. I especially loved the Fiqh aspects by Shaykh Mustafa Umar and Amina’s incredible story. Such an inspiring bitter-sweet story of courage, virtue and (InshAllah) redemption.
I am a straight 46 year old with a degree in English Literature and a four year old girl. Allah make the paths you have chosen and the temptations you have resisted for Him a source of light both today and on the Day we meet Him. Peace and love to you all.
May Allah bless you Br Waheed and all those steadfast upon this deen, like you. May Allah reward you for your each and every effort and make every step of this life and the next easy for you and peaceful for you. This listening experience was so incredibly informative and you presented every point so eloquently, with such humility, professionalism and sound dala’il. I truly appreciate all your hard work, may Allah put immense Barakah in it, may it reach millions and become a sadaqah jariyah for ... more

I am not someone with SSA but came across this podcast recently and am stunned by the amazing stories of these people. Particularly Sinan’s story. What an incredible person he is, and thank you to the host for creating this space and for allowing people like me to understand the struggles of people with SSA, as well as giving some really important lessons about sacrificing in the way of Allah, which can be applied to all struggles.
