  • Highly Recommend!

First of all, this is a clean podcast I can listen to around my family (and since trauma is sometimes a topic of conversation in our home, my children chime in to share in the truth addressed in these episodes when in ear shot). Regarding the content, Adi addresses diverse topics, exposing her audience to authors, experts, and guests whose experience and professions bring conversation that promote healing. While the power and detail of our stories is valuable, Adi is sensitive to her listeners a... more

  • Great listen even if you’re not Christian

I must admit that I am very apprehensive to listen to most podcasts that have a religious theme, but this podcast is a really great listen even if you’re not Christian. Adrea is a fantastic host who brings in great guests to discuss hard subjects to talk about. There’s a great flow to the show and each episode gives the listener great personal stories to help them reflect on their own personal journey. Would highly recommend to Christian’s and non-Christian’s alike.

The Power of Journaling with Chris Myers
Q: How did you get to the point of making journaling available to more people, and what inspired the Arise Gatherings?
Chris explains the coaching-inspired move from a job as a cheese monger to teaching journaling, the role of seniors as a focus group, and the two-hour format of Arise Gatherings with potential for deeper layers in a workbook.
The Power of Journaling with Chris Myers
Q: Before we jump in, is there anything I didn't talk about in that short intro that you really want our listeners to know about you?
Chris highlights his background, location on St. Simon's Island, and the purpose of his book, emphasizing that journaling is a practice of listening to God and sharing that journey with others.
I Guess We’re Being Brave with Sally Henry!
Q: So would you just take a few minutes, Sally, to give our listeners who don't know you yet...
Sally introduces herself as an ordained Presbyterian pastor who balances a day job in health care, writes regularly, leads a house church, and participates in ongoing reflection through writing and speaking.
Braving Cycle Breaking with Rob Scheer
Q: How did you come up with the name Comfort Cases?
After sharing my story publicly, a catalytic moment occurred when a NBC producer filmed the talk and sparked the idea to formalize the nonprofit; the name came from naming the project around giving kids a dignified, comforting start in care, not just a bag of stuff.
