This is the perfect interlude between Descent and Deceit. It really adds an extra facet to each character thereby providing a deeper understanding of who they are and what motivates them.
I actually went back to listen to the first few episodes of book 1 and listened to them again with a new perspective. The introduction to the characters meant so much more the second time around.
Great character development.
