  • Rapturously engaging

Deeply illuminating while tackling gravely serious topics in a totally engaging and inspiring way.

  • Occasionally perceptive, but the hosts come across as far left curmudgeons. They complain bitterly, rarely offer hope, & harshly judge left leaning political figures that they view as class traitors or enemies (which they have a low bar for). Events are often distorted (eg ignoring context, cherry picking) to reinforce their cynical and fringe opinions. Also often lapses into conspircism and media bashing.

Events are often distorted (eg ignoring context, cherry picking) to reinforce their cynical & sometimes absurd opinions of these political figures. The hosts don't admit when they were wrong nor ever get off their high horses. 1/200 should refer to the fraction of the electorate who'd vote for the hosts were they a political party (but that probably is an overestimate).

1/200 Campaign Season E11 - Primary Care and Privatisation of Healthcare
Q: What are the core mechanisms that have driven privatization in New Zealand's primary care?
Privatization has progressed through capitated funding models, PHOs, and the consolidation/merger of clinics under private equity, creating a profit-driven environment that prioritizes cost-cutting and private ownership over community-led care.
1/200 Campaign Season E4 - Fees Free
Q: What is the running effect of the underfunding and policy changes on research and teaching in tertiary education?
Underfunding is driving staff burnout, program cuts, and the erosion of research capabilities, while political shifts threaten academic freedom and regional access to quality education.
1/200 S2167 - Global March and Flotilla to Gaza w/ William Alexander and Ava Mulla
Q: What happened when the ship was intercepted and detained?
The ship was boarded in international waters by IGF forces, crew and passengers were searched, some were separated, and there were threats and rough treatment, but they focused on staying nonviolent while documenting the events.
