我家女兒嬰兒時期是個性極為敏感的寶寶，不太給我跟先生以外的人抱，而且不喜歡長輩尤其陌生長輩。他快一歲時，剛好我們回先生老家過年，因為親戚鄰居會來串門子，只要女兒感覺比較緊張，我就會帶他到房間，公婆也都很能諒解並把客人們擋在外面。但就是會有那麼一位特別好奇又好事的長輩，他一直盧我公婆說想看孩子沾沾喜氣，讓他媳婦也能早日懷孕，公婆拗不過他，只好答應讓他站在房門口看一眼。結果我女兒一瞄到對方就瞬間爆哭，那位長輩被我先生和公婆請出去的過程中見笑轉生氣，就大喊大叫各種老一輩觀念，其中一個就是「小孩這麼愛哭，小心疝氣」。我當時是第一次聽到這種說法，雖然直覺覺得荒謬，但難免有點緊張，就上網查了一下。在這邊和大家分享闢謠：我是看到小兒科巫漢盟阿包醫生的粉專po文，他說小孩會疝氣是因為位於腹股溝的腹膜鞘狀突在寶寶出生後沒有閉合的結構問題，如果腹膜鞘狀突已經閉合就不用擔心，怎麼哭都不會哭倒疝氣，但如果還沒閉合的話，就算只是咳嗽也可能疝氣。
