This is such a needed element in the family. People are so connected to every thing BUT their families. Family reading has been a blessing to my family and I so enjoy Nathan’s reminders and encouragement to grow this aspect of our family time.
My kids are grown, but I so wish that I had this available when I homeschooled. I look forward to still listening as we have grandbabies on the way who will be homeschooled.
What an excellent idea for a podcast encouraging Dads to be a positive influence for their family. Both Bro. Nathan and his wife Kristen shared good Christian book titles and authors for all ages. Character building books that younger kids would love to have read to them, several elementary and teenage to adult life-changing books were listed. I’m looking forward to the podcast I’ll be listening to tomorrow!
What a great resource for dads and dads-to-be to learn how to nurture the hearts of their children and grow their love for God and for books! I know my children LOVE it when we read library books together, so I can see how much potential there is to impact their hearts and open the way for discussions through reading something together. Nathan has a great voice for narration and passion for leading parents to disciple children and grow them up in the Lord! ~Anna | Plant Based Eating Made Easy Po... more
In just the first few episodes, I already have a huge “must read” book list built from your suggestions! As a homeschool mom of 3, I am often struggling to find valuable, useful and edifying books to truly nurture both my children and myself in the sea of books in catalogs/online. Thank you for your example reading plan in episode 2, to illustrate how to be intentional in planning for a variety of topics and experiences with your children by using such a varied group of books. I love your thoug... more
