This podcast is incredible! Billy Corgan has always been an interesting interview, being honest and thoughtful about a world where he refused to play the music industry game. This podcast is Billy at most straightforward, being direct about his songs, musical process, and relationships using never before told stories from the 80’s to today. The podcast lets people see the gentle, genius Corgan actual is, without the veneer of the intentional provocateur from the 90’s/2000’s interviews. The nar... more
I’ve been a Smashing Pumpkins fan since forever (I walked down the aisle to the instrumental of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness) so it was a no brainer for me to check out this podcast. Of course I’m loving hearing the story of Atum, the new album and the stories behind some of the classic hits, but I’m also really enjoying the conversations that Billy and the hosts are having with the guests. Really great podcast, really enjoying it. Whenever I hear Billy’s voice I am comforted by the kn... more
Nothing less than simply amazing! More proof of why I have stuck with this band since the beginning, and that William is the genius that he is. I am 50 and believe in doing albums, the old-school way I love it! To be able to sit down and listen to a two hour story of music that when played in order is one cohesive piece. This is the way that all the greats have done it, and to have vision over the decades few geniuses have done it this way, but that William is one of them, and for him to sit dow... more
Wow. Only listened to one episode but so much history. Great concept. Will be checking out more.
Such a great podcast with insights, great new tracks from Atum and old classics but my favourite bit is how Billy (WPC) deconstructs thoughts, systems, world views etc and by the end I feel like I can reflect on myself and how I interact with the world with a whole new perspective. My long time favourite guitarist, male singer songwriter is now also my favourite thinker. Excellent work folks
