I’m Jacky Power, addiction psychologist and poet and host of The Therapeutic Poet. Each week I use a poem I have written to introduce a therapeutic theme as I talk with my guests about the trickiness of being human.

Jacky’s poetry is extraordinarily insightful, very relevant to what is happening at the moment in our internal and external worlds, and I cannot recommend this anthology highly enough to keep you sane in a mad world! more
I was a fan before I was a guest on the podcast. My favorite part is wondering how Jacky will bring a piece of her poetry to life through the conversations she has with her guests. She is authentic because she speaks from a place of having been there. One of my weekly must listen to podcasts
Jackie’s podcasts are a wonderful part of my weekly listening schedule. She combines her excellent poetry with interesting guests and meaningful conversations which cut through the nonsense that often gets trapped in my head and guides me to clearer thinking and a better understanding of why humans behave the way we do. She does this with warmth and humour and her podcasts are a delight.
Great conversations. Loved listening :)
I love this approach, mixing Jacky’s wonderful poems with extra insight into human experience. Really interesting conversations.
