John is hands down the easiest person to listen to with a deep knowledge of financial markets. Michael is effortless aswell. They both have very different perpectives but the end result is a mix of investment appraisal and the trader’s ruthlessness. A brilliant podcast.
Michael Taylor is a lightweight. Just seems to throw in some trading jargon every so often to give the impression he knows what he is talking about. Offers no insight into any of the businesses covered. A shame really as John and Phil were really good together
I really like the company reviews that were done with Phil. Michael is also very good and I was very excited to hear that he was taking over after Phil left. However, it seems that the team have lost the focus and not sure they know what the purpose of the podcast is anymore. Also, the companies they review are not interesting such as ab dynamics or ones that they don’t recommend for obvious reasons such as watches of Switzerland, to give a couple of examples. Was really pleased to listen again to John and Phil but am bemused by Michael now talking. By his own admission he doesn’t care about whether a company is a good business but I was under the impression that Investibility was about long term investing in good companies? So what is the point? Not sure I will be listening for much longer…
