I wanted to love this but have some issues with the themes. The first episode espouses toxic positivity, with the mother owl telling her family to “just be happy” instead of working through tough emotions, like disappointment and hurt feelings. Throughout the episodes, there’s this dynamic of reactive father and wise mother, which just plays into harmful gender roles/stereotypes that we should be moving away from.
