For over 15 years, Presbyterian Pastor Randy Lovejoy and hard core atheist, TV-Film Writer/Producer A L Katz (Alan to his friends) have been carrying on a conversation about… well, it started with religion. And atheism. And faith and humanity and reason and the awe they both feel as they gazed up at the cosmos. It probably seemed doomed – a "devout" atheist and a Presbyterian Pastor striking up a friendship based on a series of conversations about the thing they most disagreed about. But what intrigued them from the first time they sat down was this: for all their theoretical differences -- how they saw the world, why it is and what our place in it should be -- they actually had, and have, a hell of a lot in common.
