  • There is still hope... maybe...

Is it bad that I’m gathering the theological and moral formation which I should have collected from my theological institution from the Eucatastrophe? It says one of two things; either I’m a terrible student, or the institution is trash...

Either way it says something great about Dave and Joel.

Extremely thoughtful and intelligent conversations which only drive me into seeking the communal, moral, ethical, economic, intellectual, etc. of the Christian life.

I’m very thankful for these conversa... more

  • Culture, Theology, and Humour

Great podcast discussing culture both high and low (from Arendt to Avengers) from a nuanced theological perspective. Dave and Joel make for great listening primarily because of the content, but their friendship and natural chemistry also make the conversations a lot of fun and easy to listen to

  • De-colonisation

Did a course on colonialism and the rule of law this semester at uni. Also started listening to this podcast. Coincidence? I think not! Providence, rather! Thanks for ‘de-colonising’ my reformed, evangelical mind - I do feel like it has been valuable hearing some interesting conversations about how we can approach church, life and faith from a slightly different perspective and I hope you keep up the awesome work! I always get a small buzz when I see you’ve uploaded your next episode! Anyway, so... more

  • A hidden gem

Dave and Joel’s chemistry and friendship are palpable! They're a wonderful duo with beautiful insights rooted in a wide range of thinking, from medieval Christian theology to contemporary postmodern philosophy. They're also a riot.

The Eucatastrophe is criminally unknown—help change that by listening!

  • The 'Sultana Bran' of podcasts...

...that is, it's good for you, a great way to start the day, and not entirely serious.

If you want to consider what truly is 'the good', then this is a podcast to include in the repository. Politics and theology delivered with an academic bent, but a jovial air.

  • Great stuff. Only 5% problematic

Probably (and somewhat problematic-ly) the best cultural Marxism going around. Also, hands down the best exvangelical podcast out there. Both Joel and Dave are men very well read and an offer an insightful alternative to the majority offerings in Christian-podcast world. Although their dismissiveness of their former traditions also problematic; nonetheless still very much worth a listen!

  • Warning: May convert you to Catholicism!

Dave and Joel unmask the puppet master of Liberalism that sits behind both the progressive and conservative agendas, and sow the seeds for a future politics of the Augustinian Option.

  • Best Pro-Brexit Podcast around

This podcast consistently delivers sharp criticisms of cosmopolitanisms and shows how pop culture contains subtle pro brexit allegories. Love the metaphor of ‘renchantment’ as a way of describing British independence.

Goodness me it’s difficult to write a sensible review. But it is a wonderful podcast. Forgive them for making up a manel.
