Similar to the club, the Business in Medicine podcast aims to educate medical students, residents, and early practicing physicians on various topics of business that affect the day-to-day lives of healthcare professionals. Whether we like it or not, business plays a fundamental role in how healthcare services are delivered. Business is integrated into all facets of healthcare including the decision to incorporate or not; health innovation; the allocation of scarce resources; and entrepreneurship. Having an understanding of how these systems work is essential to becoming a well-rounded physician.
