Not going to lie, I only listened to the two about Roe v Wade. As I Canadian I think it’s absolutely heinous what the Americans have the right bare arms, but a woman has no right over her body. So hearing this for the American perspective where the are all disgusted was enlightening

Deeply thoughtful in unpacking progressive ideology, especially as it differs from other possible political philosophies. Have to rewind and re-listen fairly regularly as the hosts are not as dynamic in their delivery as they could be - and the episodes try to accomplish a bit too much - but the ideas are so pertinent, relevant, and moral, one can’t help but want to re-listen to best understand the arguments.
Clearly biased, the hosts do an exceptional job at being thorough and as fair-minded as one could expect. If you're looking for a review of economic injustice that has an apologetic tone, The Badlands is worthy of your time. It's compelling even if it's preachy at times. The philiosophical approach ensures that things don't stay surface level and instead they review underlying assumptions that often aren't seen by people on the Left or the Right.
The depth of consideration that goes into these conversations is unrivaled in political commentary today. While clearly maintaining a progressive perspective, this podcast does a good job of at least vetting out possible objections to the points they are making.
