Tai'Shar Manetheren: a Wheel of Time Podcast

Sam & Will

Sam and Will discuss the Wheel of Time book series and the upcoming television series. We like to keep it light, because if you like fantasy you're probably looking for an escape. We will never talk politics and we try to make content that you can listen to with your niece and nephew. We will often bring up other nerd culture things if we think they're related - like Marvel, GoT, Star Wars, LoTR, ... more

  • I really enjoy this podcast, but their release schedule is abominable. They don't post new content very often, and when they do it's just as likely to be off topic as it is to be about Wheel of Time. Over the last year, they've only talked about one book (Knife of Dreams) and they have yet to finish it. I keep sticking with it in hopes that they get back on a regular release schedule, but that's looking less and less likely as time goes on.

  • Great recaps

I started reading this series over 2 years ago and am planning to finish this year. Sam and Will have been GREAT at recapping books I’ve read and forgot most the details of.

  • Great summary, but…

Awesome summaries of the chapters, but it’s really hard to listen when Sam interrupts as much as he does. AND I just got a spoiler without any warning that it was in it 😑

  • The Slog

If you’re going to moan and groan through the entire A Crown of Swords (Sam), then what’s the point of summarizing the book. It was very difficult to listen to, and uninviting to the listeners. If I was just listening to this before I read the book, I would opted out. I imagined they were going to make it enjoyable, instead of nonstop huffing and puffing. I did better off reading it myself. Made it sound worse than it was.

Sam spoils a lot. For example, Sam lets us know he was suspicious a... more
