Wasn’t sure what to expect, but the show is great so far. It’s structured in a way that considers the albums holistically - cultural context, personal connection, critical response, album design and artist choices, and more. Also enjoying the range of albums discussed - the hosts are well-versed, open-minded music fans and I’m sure I’ll discover a few albums on this podcast in addition to following my favourites.
Such a great listen. I’m not even the biggest music fan generally but every episode has been so interesting and left me going back to rediscover some of my favorite songs I hadn’t come across in years. This is a must for anyone!
The podcast takes a deep dive into something as subjective as music and discusses it in a way that promotes this art form while encouraging its listeners to explore all that the music world has to offer. Whether you agree with their analysis or not, it is a pleasant experience. If music is something that triggers your emotions, creates nostalgia, or simply makes you think, than you will certainly find value in their breakdowns. I look forward to their episodes every week. Keep it up, guys!
Greg and Jordan often review albums I’d never listen all the way through. It opens my eyes and explains why I need to check it out.
These guys will make you want to listen to whatever it is they’re talking about. Even if you know absolutely nothing about that band or album, you’ll find yourself pausing the podcast to go listen to it.
