Fun to read the plays and listen to this podcast. Provides some context, insight, and expertise!
Great series, with lots of interesting insights and helpful explanations, but I wish the audio quality was better.
I have only listened to the Othello podcasts since I’m studying Othello for my a-level english literature studies and I thought this may help. Professor, Karim-Cooper spoke so well and in detail about Shakespeare’s tragedy, explaining the historical context of the play in so much depth and understanding. This podcast has helped me a lot with my study on Shakespeare, and I have actually really enjoyed listening to this podcast as well.
I’m so grateful for this podcast and helping me to gain such a deep appreciation for Shakespeare. This work once seemed so inaccessible, now I can’t wait to delve deeper!
This is such a wonderful series! It’s comprehensive while being accessible. There are tight synopses that lead off each play’s podcasts, followed by rich and unique analyses done by the producers and scholars. Really great for students and also for anyone who likes series like Great Courses.
