  • Bad show

Audio cut is bad, repeated narratives constantly. He also hates half of his audience or anyone different

  • A Pleasant Surprise

I have been writing on my spare time on and off for several years. I have always wished to connect to other writers and this podcast gives me some of that. I have listened to a few of them so far and all the guests are very interesting in their own way. It would also be fun to hear Stephen talk about something he is writing too. I enjoy his role as host but would love to hear of his struggles in writing and what he is going through. Essentially we don’t get enough from Stephen. I see each episod... more

Stumbled upon this podcast as a Survivor fan, but also a book reader. Very interesting and a wonderful way to find different authors. Stephen asks good questions but also lets his guest talk. Enjoy listening to very much.

Stephen is an excellent host. His questions are insightful and well-constructed, and they produce interesting answers from the authors. Really enjoyable to listen to, even when I don’t know anything about the author!

  • great for readers and writers

this podcast has been a joy to listen to. as a reader, it’s fascinating to hear about the complex emotional and intellectual process of writing. as a writer, it’s inspiring to hear about the craft in an accessible way, and end every episode with engaging writing prompts. there’s very little small-talk/banter. it’s a tightly edited, unpretentious half hour dedicated to the love of literature.

  • This podcast might change my life!

What a brilliant concept. I have always believed that deep down, I am a writer - but “real life” gets in the way. Just listening to Stephen’s engaging interviews with other like-minded people who actually followed through... it’s SO inspiring. It’s very well done - great questions, honest, helpful answers. This is making me rethink my life and redirecting my energy. Can’t wait for the next one.
