  • Superb

I was introduced to JW from his appearance on Last Podcast On The Left. His style is very conversational, and lots of fun. Thoroughly entertaining episodes, and the pod has moved very quickly up my favourites list. I’ve now ordered two of his books also, as I think his writing will be right up my street! Jo Bear.

  • Fun to hear the stories and not just read!

I love this guy’s nonfiction books and website and have been a devoted follower for years now. I love his videos and podcast, because a lot of his prose feels very conversational and while I like his writing a lot, it’s kind of fun to hear him speaking, and he has a good storytelling/podcast voice. If only he’d read his own audiobooks!

  • A great trip each episode

I just recently started listening to this podcast, and I’m hooked! Each episode makes me want to head out and explore each and every place discussed. Being a New England native, I am ashamed to admit that I didn’t know of most places that are covered in the podcast. But hearing all of the wonderfully odd places that J. W. Oker talks about, I’m now an oddity seeker myself. more
