Bonnie & Tom lament the long lost radio show "Love Song Dedications", and in particular, the dulcet tones of Richard Mercer and his engagement with lovestruck or lovetorn individuals. The show ran every weeknight between 1997 and 2013, across the East Coast of Australia. Has the art of the love song dedication been lost? Do we need it? This series follows Bonnie & Tom on their quest to find the vo... more

I have to start this by saying that I hate most (all?) popular love songs. I regularly turn off radios. I have/had no idea who Richard Mercer is or was (til now), never been to Australia & I don’t know anything about Tom or Bonnie. This is a surprising, funny, and genuinely heartfelt show about radio, love songs, relationships and the Love God. Tom and Bonnie, you gave the love song cynic in me a restorative dose of joy and hope. This is a delightful podcast in a world that needs more love.
The premise of this show may sound odd, but bear with it. Like the best theatre you've seen, the sort you were sceptical about walking in, and singing the praises of walking out, it's pushing the boundaries of what a podcast can be.
