  • Nichole Goodnight is killing this show.

Look, I love Bloody FM content. Pacific does great work and SCP Archives is one of my favorite; Nichole shows up there and I appreciate her narrations. But her voice style here kills the show. These are famous and interesting stories and the content is fine, but her AI tone puts me to sleep. There should be SOME variation in speech; Aaron Mahnke on Lore is a good example. I’m stopping after 6 episodes cause it’s just too beige.

  • Excellent stories and research. I just can’t get into the narration.

I’m a total horror junkie. I love finding new scary podcasts, so I was stoked to discover this one. I’ve listened to about 5 episodes, and while the stories and research are great, I don’t click with the narration. To me, it seems like there should be more inflection, emotion, drama in the reading. Maybe that’s just me. But it gets in the way of the experience. But kudos for the great group of stories, and super bonus points for speaking truth (and also melting some conservative snowflakes)

  • Has potential but…

Right now all this podcast is is a pretty banal recitation of basic information on every topic. There is no genuine interest conveyed by the reader in any of the subjects. Just listen to one until the end and be surprised at how the show abruptly stops. They are all like that. it’s like reading a Wikipedia article. Please try harder.
