I didn’t think I would enjoy a podcast about jewellery but I listened to another podcast where Nicola was a guest and I thought I’d give it a go. I’ve been pleasantly surprised and it’s been fascinating to learn the story behind pieces of jewellery as their significance.
Nicola has good knowledge, some impressive guests and well selected themes. But, her childlike voice, repetitive and annoying intonations and overuse of words such as “definitely” and “absolutely” seriously undermined my listening experience. But well worth a listen by those who enjoy the subject matter and are not impacted by her presentation style.
A most enjoyable and entertaining podcast series - great topics and guests - highly recommended!
I love the concept behind this podcast, and each of the episodes is so interesting. The guests are great and Dr Tallis is an engaging interviewer. Highly recommended!
I’m a huge fan of Nicola as an author and historian so I was completely thrilled to hear she was starting a podcast! more
