I read about the podcast in a magazine and thought I'd check it out. It's got a killer theme song (it's super cheesy and gets stuck in my head every time I hear it) and the three priests talk about God and comics and sometimes the intersections of those two. I don't have a vast knowledge of comics and would never be so arrogant as to claim that of God either but I know enough about both to keep engaged. In particular, they have discussed multiple comics that I'm now going to check out. I als... more
I didn’t really like comics before I started listening - but I liked God. Now I like both. I am sure the reverse could be true as well. I would highly recommend.
As a God show, it's okay. They have a wealth of information, but I feel like a Catholic after most homilies, "Wasn't this supposed to point me towards the Eucharist?" except God instead of the Eucharist. Sometimes the conversation doesn't give me my fill, and it's okay because there are other podcasts for that. more
You can get away with a lot if you're Smart & Funny - and this show is both. I started listening so I could engage in meaningful conversations with my kids, but continue listening because it brings me joy! Bless you brothers!
This is a wonderful podcast, considering matters of faith but also a great love for comics books and every aspect of them: their art, storylines, history, and much else. One of my favorites!
One of the more entertaining faith and pop culture podcasts out there. As a fellow Episcopal priest and podcaster, these guys do a great job both on the comic side and the religion side. There is great balance between the two. Deep conversation, corny jokes, insights and humor...it's great. Check it out!
Who knew priests were so funny? This is a very entertaining Podcast. I think casual comic fans can enjoy this as much as the fanboys. You also do not have to be devout to enjoy. Their discussions often take them beyond comic books and the Episcopal Church. Their Batman episode is particularly good.
Three Anglican/Episcopal priests read, review, and discuss comics and Christian theology. A great listen though the audio could be better. Give it a shot!
