So sad to hear Amanda’s description of what she experienced as she was looking for her mother. But it was disappointing that as she was, the dog’s snoring was heard in the background. Given the serious nature of the case and who you were interviewing, it would have been a good idea to move him to another room or not to have had him in the recording room at all.
My heart goes out to Amanda-her courage and grace is truly remarkable. She, for me, represents the positive impact of a recovering person who unapologetically openly shares her struggles and victories, which is most helpful for others who have similar challenges. It’s obvious that the tragic death of her mother has left her with feelings of abandonment and betrayal by some family members.
