  • in the book "The Immortality Key" there was a fair bit of talk about drinking one's self to death, seemed to happen a fair bit in the ancient world although didn't talk about medieval. People died from the fun addatives they seemingly deliberately put in (like ergot which is a poisonous fungus with LSD in it), not the alcohol content. Dosage was difficult, they had to make the beer from a mix of infected and not infected grain.

  • This guy is like the anti Jordan Peterson haha. The seems to think fiction has no value because it isn't real, but doesn't mind a spontaneous keynesian rant.
