  • Almost great... I like the deep dives into the minutiae of the books, but one of the hosts has an obsessive hatred of Butters, and continually breaks the flow of conversation by inserting random trash... Not even good trash talk, more like a petulant 12-year old offended by vegetables on his plate. They'll be in the middle of breaking down a scene, and suddenly, "Butters sucks, he's the worst character!" Happens too often to ignore. Such a shame, because there is a lot of good content otherwise.... more

  • Bad questions

Downloaded to listen to an interview they did with the author Jim Butcher. They spent an hour wasting both my time and the author’s by asking inane questions that the author obviously couldn’t and wouldn’t answer. They spent all the time asking questions about future book plots and questions the author hadn’t revealed yet. They asked no questions about the books that had just been released, decisions he had made, or major character deaths in the past book. more

  • Squirrel.....

I was really excited to find this podcast, as not many people I know have read the Dresden Files all the way through and I don’t really have anyone to discuss the series with. However, after listening to 2 episodes on Battle Grounds, I find myself agreeing with previous reviewers wondering if some of the podcasters are even fans or have actually read the books. more

  • Cannot stay on topic

I really wanted to like this show but it is just to difficult to follow. The hosts jump around from topic to topic without ever finishing a thought. One host seems to not have any kind of grasp on how the setting of the books has been created or what has happened in previous books. more

  • Painful to listen to...are they even fans?

I was hoping that a lot of the roughness, awkward silences, jarring starts and lack of basic knowledge of the series were just growing pains of fans learning how to do the whole podcast thing. After listening to multiple episodes from the beginning to more recently, I wonder if the people doing this even like the series. Like someone else said, there's quite a bit of confusion about basic plot points. Things I remember clearly despite my most recent re-read of these books happening over a year a... more
