There is so much travel in this book, and it’s important to have a narrator sensitive to accents and dialects. I’ve been listening to a lot of different versions of this book, read by various different readers. This version has done a good job of acknowledging Van Helsing’s accent. Van Helsing’s English word-choices, being translated from Dutch, need to be spoken with an accent to convey that that’s what’s happening. more
