There’s an important tale to be told here and the series manages it for the most part but the host sprinkles their biases too unashamedly throughout (the nauseating fellating of the mediocre writer Drew McWeeny, and the weird and unnecessarily hostile and unconnected rants regarding some film makers whiles praising other equally middling talents). As someone who frequented AICN (though not as a talkbacker) and even had my work featured on there, I found this an incredibly engaging and insightful retelling of that period of the internet, and the (often terrible) legacy related to it.
