  • All you need is love

The indie movie vibe of Dater has moments of hilarity, despair, and everything in between as you follow @TheNickTester’s shaky ascent through the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. more

  • Thumbs Up Emoji

Dater is a fascinating deep dive into the contemporary world of dating, filled to the brim with all the nuance, neuroticism, and nagging self-doubt that comes with being overexposed to information in the 21st century. Nick casts a hypnotic spell as he unspools each tale that makes you want to immediately queue up the next episode. more

  • Most original show I've come across in ages

I really appreciate the style and authenticity of this podcast. It’s a great concept that is well done and funny as well, but the the main part I enjoyed was the vibe. If felt like a long-time friend you hadn’t seen in a while met you at a bar and just let loose. The music and sound play a part in that too, It is a bit hypnotic in a way and the show feels very intimate. Very relatable as well and the guests are good stand-ins for the listener. it’s not like anything I’ve come across excep... more

  • Hits a little too close to home.

@thenicktester paints a picture of the dating world that is all to familiar not just to me, but to the modern man. His colorful take on his adventures, or misadventures, with the women in his past reveal to the listener that courting a woman these days is a little more complicated with the onset of social media etiquette and a world riddled with ghosting. Nick gets (past tense)real time advice from a fun cast of characters. A great listen.
