I started off with really liking the advice given and found the hosts funny. But the more episodes i listened to, i was kind of shocked at the “advice”. The hosts make a lot of assumptions about what people are thinking (outside of letter writer) with very little information about people’s motivations. more

I used to enjoy listening to Kristan and Joss and their sound advice. I even wrote in to the podcast once. They were very kind and helpful in my particular case, and used to always be in earlier episodes, but I’ve noticed that the way they address other letter writers has started to lack empathy. They didn’t used to be so judgmental. This show has and needs a place. With complex, friendship, issues, and loneliness at an all-time high, it couldn’t be more relevant. I enjoy the chatter between two best friends who share their insights, defining what exactly is the best in friendships.
