  • I found this podcast after the first season of A Discovery of Witches (having already read all of the books) and just really enjoy the very thorough discussions of both the books and the tv shows. The hosts, Jen and Cait, are fun and quite knowledgeable about the All Souls Universe. Listening to the podcast made the really long wait between seasons 1 and 2 of the tv show more tolerable. As well as the hopefully very short wait until Season 3 (January 2022).

  • My favorite all souls podcast

I love this podcast, Cait and Jen are very smart, funny and so insightful. I had read the books several years before the tv show came out, and had not planned to reread them because I was looking at the tv show as its own thing. But after listening to the tv show episode discussions, I decided to start the books all again. I’m enjoying them so much more rereading them and feeling a part of a discussion (even though no one can hear my opinions because a) it’s a recording, and b) they were recorde... more

  • Twin Pregnancy

Love your take on the books. I enjoy listening to people who may or may not have a different opinion than mine, as well as not agree with everything in the book. It makes for great listening and conversation. Speaking of disagreeing, I was listening to the podcast 56 and you were talking about being pregnant with twins and how it was implausible to be upright at 5-6 months pregnant with twins. I gave birth to twin and never once was on bed rest and was up and moving until the day they came at 37... more

It is obvious that the ladies admire the All Souls Trilogy and make every effort to analyze the story and writing. I find that they are self-congratulatory and nit picky. I also do not share their sense of humor. Since this opinion is subjective, I suggest giving it a go and see if you connect. Their insights can be spot on at times. I much preferred their opinions on the TV show rather than the books.

  • I’m rereading Shadow of Night

Thanks to your podcast, I’m reading and listening to this book again. It’s been my least favorite book of the trilogy, but thanks to you both I’m enjoying it more. I appreciate your humor. And thanks for mentioning the Madeline Miller books!
