If you are a casual Tolkien fan this podcast will help you better grasp the "Tolkien universe" (Legendarium) of Middle-Earth and beyond. I think it might also make reading some of the other books (besides The Hobbit and LOTR) more appealing and less daunting. My only criticism is that if you're a well read Tolkien fan, these podcasts will not offer much in the way of new insights. Aaron is very knowledgeable. I haven’t read the books but have seen the movies. He brings the characters to life and makes connections that I wouldn’t have known about. I gotta go read the books now.
