I heard about the idea for this podcast over 4 years ago and I'm glad to see it finally came to life. I was fortunate to be invited to share my expertise as a guest and love the focus on social change.
I just finished listening to the first two episodes and feel uplifted, challenged and connected. The themes discussed resonate so strongly with me…identifying who I am in the context of the work and of my goals for my life. Figuring out what role I should be playing. Considering if my work contributes to the whole – there were times when I’ve wondered if any of my individual and collective efforts were making any difference. The podcast reminds you that this is a common struggle. It brings you... more
Warren and Marcy Goldstein-Gelb connect the personal with the political in this new series. Social change work can be grueling and too often leaders neglect their own well being. Warren tells his own story of recovering from a devastating stroke and how his social change work and healing from trauma are forever intertwined. This series brings into the light the personal stories and struggles of social change leaders — stories that are not told often enough. A truly inspiring and thought provokin... more
Fascinating! Usually, when I think about solving a problem, I’m thinking about the problem—analyzing it, brainstorming ways to get past obstacles. It can give you the perspective to find a new angle of attack. more
It’s probably obvious to most folks to start at the beginning but I was so moved by Marcy and Warren’s conversation in the first episode, setting the context and foundation for this awesome podcast series, I just don’t want anyone to miss it.
I found these podcasts compelling and informative. As an advocate for improving the lives of people with mental illness and they’re families as well as advocating for equality for people with different sexual orientation or sexual identity B-change can be a great forum for advancing change.
I’m really excited about this podcast. I’ve known Marcy and Warren for many years and have always respected and been inspired by their commitment to social justice and change. more
