  • Host needs to lessen his use of “like”

Great content overall. The host liberally peppers his speech with like. It is like he is like talking about like the museum and it’s like distracting and unneeded.

  • Art Palace is a gem

Art Palace provides listeners with diverse and entertaining guests, an engaging host, great discussions, outstanding production value, and a show format that is intelligently tailored to background of each guest. I listen during my commute so, unfortunately, I rarely get to appreciate the imagery that is synced to the audio. But when I've been able follow along with my eyes, I've found it adds a lot to the podcast.

  • Great content brought to life

With interesting guests, Russell Ihrig discusses a variety of topics and always ends with a discussion in front of a piece of art at CAM. I love the multiple perspectives that are revealed. The episode on Music Hall is my latest fave.

  • Refreshing Take on a Museum Blog

Most museum blogs tend to be boring trudges through art history that can put the listener to sleep in seconds - this is not that kind of museum blog. Russell is engaging and fun. He brings a sense of humor to looking and talking about art in a very traditional setting. More museums need to learn a lesson from this podcast - art can be fun for everyone. Listen to other museum podcasts if you want to fall asleep, listen to this one if you want 30 minutes of absolute artsy joy!
